I agree melodious likely is the strongest form of the deck but I hate pendulum.

Chimera is a super fun deck to play. I like to play it in MD when I get sick of playing Snake Eye. The only thing that kind of sucks is that Nightmare Apprentice is now stupid expensive because of Yubel (and other loud mouths online that are driving up the price)

Levertsue dragon can detach from any xyz you control

Can confirm, was the 60 card Paleo player. Only reason I didn't top was unfortunate time stuff. This guy is the only player who actually straight up beat me, couldn't out End of Anubis, he ripped Daruma Cannon out of my hand in the EP. Cool to see that he ended up top 4.

adding melodious is higher ceiling vs a cut in consistency. ofc opening ostinato is amazing. but having couplet in your grip is a big feels bad moment. considering the normal ceiling of this deck is usually enough cause you have the correct floodgate for pretty much every matchup its probably better to have more non engine to have a chance going second is my conclusion after testing both variants quite a bit.

One thing you missed is that Nochiudrago special summons a "ritual beast monster" and doesn't specify whether it has to be beast, tamer, etc. So assuming you summoned them properly and have a way to banish them, you can get your ritual beast link monsters back for free.

I find it funny that everybody first thinks these cards are garbage, but honestly once you get into combos you figure out that they actually do a lot for the deck in both consistency and power. Even the new c32, you don´t summon it with shark drake but with the barian rank up spell searchable by ascension. Best 2 cards by far are big jaws and levirtue dragon though, theyre both busted.

I think the worst thing is when the first player does a ton of stuff turn 1, and then does the same amount during the opponent's turn as well.
